Hurden Looker Accolades:

 2017 Hurden Looker was the first school to incorporate a fully operational Maker Space Room in Hillside.

 2017-18 and 2018-19 Hurden Looker was the recipient of the NJIT National Science Foundation Grant.

 June 2019 Hurden Looker Chorus competed in the American Young Voice Competition

 March 2023 – Hurden Looker STEM team won first place in the NJIT STEM Challenge

Several Hurden Looker Teachers received Donor Choose mini grants each year.

April 2024, Ms. Crisanaz 5th Grade class were winners of statewide essay contest conducted by the district court in Newark.

May 2024, HEP students in 5th and 6th grade won second place in NJ Bar Foundation Mock Trial competition.
